Lakes Putter - Superior 4685
Lakes Putter Company isn’t just about making putters—it’s about enhancing your entire golfing experience. With a laser-focus on quality and precision, they craft putters that blend artistry with cutting-edge innovation. The goal? To help you elevate your game with gear that not only performs exceptionally, but also reflects the company’s passion for golf.
Take, for example, the Huron 4482 and the Superior 4888—two standout models in their lineup. But the one I had the chance to test? The Superior 4685. This beauty is crafted with a 304 stainless steel face and a 6061 aluminum body, delivering a soft yet responsive feel. The center-shafted design offers near-perfect face balance, minimizing rotation during your stroke for a smoother roll.
Out of the box, it came with a SuperStroke grip. But I knew with the putter being 38” long, I’d need a little more counterbalance to suit my style. So, I reached out to the fine folks at Garsen Golf, who kindly sent over their Quad Tour 17-inch putter grip. At 120 grams and non-tapered, this grip was a perfect match. If you’re not familiar with Garson grips, you should be—they're a favorite among tour players, and in my opinion, they’re some of the best in the business.
Adding the heavier Garson grip helped counterbalance the putter, allowing for a more fluid stroke by evenly distributing the weight. I spent some time in the studio with the Foresight GC Quad, and let me tell you, this putter is a gem. The roll was quick and true, and I noticed right away that wherever you point, it goes. No deflections, no surprises—just pure, consistent performance.
Lakes Putter Company also offers customization options, so you can truly make a putter your own. Whether you’re looking to tweak the design or adjust the balance, they’ve got you covered. So if you’re in the market for a new putter that delivers both style and substance, go check them out!
